fare·well
/ˌferˈwel/
used to express good wishes on parting.
After many years, I’ve decided to retire from studio work and close my facility in Naples, FL.
My original intent was to do this in October when I turn 75, however, with all the crazy things going on, I thought it would be uncomfortable for the dancers and myself to do shoots where we work in close proximity for hours. I knew this day would eventually come, it’s just that I thought it would be a little further out.
I want to sincerely thank all the dancers I’ve worked with over the years, I do have hundreds of pairs of signed shoes and photos to remember you by.
I gave a lot of thought to choosing a photo for this post, this one, taken at the Mikhailovsky Theatre, (St. Petersburg RU, 2008) says it best. I intend to continue my stage work when things normalize and am scheduled to be at Lincoln Center with American Ballet Theatre this summer.
Perhaps one day I’ll publish some of my studio work and the amazing dancers I’ve captured.
Thank you all…gene
